Keflavik International Airport
The largest airport in Iceland, Keflavik International Airport is located just two miles (3.1km) outside of Keflavik, and 31 miles (50km) from central Reykjavik. Keflavik International Airport is the primary airport for international flights to Iceland, operating routes to destinations including New York, London, Amsterdam, Seattle, Washington DC, Paris, Barcelona and Oslo.
The facility is small, with a single terminal (named for famous Icelandic explorer Leifur Eiríksson). Keflavik International Airport is known for its efficient processing times and friendly staff, however, and there is a modest selection of shops and restaurants, as well as fine Icelandic artworks on display at the Reykjanesbær Art Museum.
The airport is situated 31 miles (50km) southwest of Reykjavik.
